This course allows students to learn how to organize their thoughts so that their memory will be more structured and learning in school will be much easier. The students will be able to fully utilize their brain’s capacity to remember!!!
Schools require students to memorize mass amounts of information. Memorizing for one class can be difficult, but it can be even more frustrating when you have multiple classes. Many students feel like they simply do not have strong memory skills. Fortunately, though, memorizing is not just for an elite group of people born with the right skills—anyone can train and develop their memorizing abilities.
The course involves teaching techniques on how to maximize a student’s ability to remember. These techniques are used by many students of law and medicine to memorize the tremendous amount of information needed to complete their studies. By understanding these techniques, students will excel not only in school but have confidence in various things they will attempt to achieve. Major techniques used in the courses are as follows:
1. Pegging
Pegging is a memory aid that works by creating mental associations between two concrete objects in a one-to-one fashion that will later be applied to-be-remembered information. This involves linking nouns to numbers. These associations have to be memorized one time and can be applied repeatedly to new information that needs to be memorized.
2. Linking
Linking is connecting information that students are trying to memorize to something that you already know. The material in isolation is more difficult to remember than material that is connected to other concepts. Making up crazy connections helps to recall information.
3. Interleaving
Interleaving is a method of mixing or alternating skills or concepts that a student wants to memorize. This method yields better results in the end than simply spending long periods of time on the same concept.
One-hour weekly classes will be held. The progression of each class will be determined by the mastery level of students after completing the session.
